Servoflex Pro
The contractor‘s preferred mortar
- Use of mineral co-binders instead of artificial ones
- Conservation of natural resources
- Cement-reduced formulation, less CO2 emissions
- Variable, adjustable water factor for walls and floors
- Safe and rapid hardening even under XL tiles
- Extended coverage
- Indoors and outdoors, on walls and floors, submergible
Multipurpose. stable, non-sag, flexible, light grey and acrylic polymer-modified cementitious thin-bed mortar in accordance with EN 12 004 C2 TE-S1 (ANSI pending) for the installation of ceramic tiles, porcelain stoneware, porcelain mosaic, clinker and brick tiles as well as natural stone coverings that are resistant to discoloration and deformation in interior and exterior areas on load-bearing substrates such as in-situ concrete (at least 3 months old), OkaQuiet, gypsum fibre boards, drywall, heated screeds mastic asphalt, aerated concrete and balconies. e.g. in-situ concrete (at least 3 months old), gypsum fiberboards, gypsum plasterboards, heated screeds, mastic asphalt, aerated concrete, as well as balconies and terraces (observe the relevant standards and data sheets).
Due to the variable water factor of approx. 34–40 %, Servoflex Pro can be applied on walls as a very stable consistency for heavy tiles and is easily troweled when mixed to floor consistency, maintaining its curing safely and quickly.
The substrate must be ready for covering, clean and load-bearing. When installing over substrates that are still shrinking, limit the field size by arranging expansion joints. Clean old coverings with an alkaline cleaner.
Indoors, prime absorbent substrates with Okatmos® DSG or Okatmos® UG 30. If a layer thickness of up to 10 mm / ⅜“ is required on calcium sulphate screeds, prime with Okatmos® DSG or OkapoxGF. Apply 15 mm ⅝“ layer thickness only on waterproof, stable substrates, e.g. cement screeds or concrete. On calcium sulphate screeds max. 10 mm / ⅜“ layer thickness. Prime non-absorbent substrates with Okatmos® DSG or Okatmos® UG 30.
In exterior areas, prime with Okatmos® UG 30. On old exterior coverings that have been cleaned with an alkaline cleaner and primed with Okatmos® UG 30, always work in conjunction with a waterproofing (e.g. with Servoflex DMS 1K-schnell SuperTec or Servoflex DMS 1K Plus SuperTec).
Expansion joints shall be provided through the tile work from all construction or expansion joints in the substrate. Follow recent TTMAC and ANSI specification A108.01-3.7 „Requirements for Movement Joints: Preparations by Other Trades“ or Tile Council of North America (TCNA) detail EJ-171 „Movement Joints— Vertical & Horizontal.“ Do not cover expansion joints with mortar. Follow additional
installation and floor preparation guidelines located in the latest TTMAC and TCNA installation manuals.
Mix Servoflex Pro with clean and cool water to the desired consistency without lumps. Remix it again after approx. 5 minutes slake time. Then, apply it to the substrate using the appropriate trowel, push the material to be laid into the adhesive bed, and press down within approx. 30 minutes. Depending on the absorbency of the substrate/covering, corrections can still be made within approx. 25 minutes. Use the combined method (butteringfloating) outdoors or for large-format flooring material.
