A high-tack, pressure-sensitive acrylic polymer-based fixation formulated for easy application by trowel or roller. Ideal for removable carpet tiles with felt, fleece, or textile backings. Provides excellent initial grab and reliable performance across a range of resilient flooring types.

Recommended Applications:

  • LVP / LVT (Luxury Vinyl Plank / Tile)
  • VCT (Vinyl Composition Tile)
  • Vinyl-backed carpet tiles

Approved substrates:

  • Cementitious screeds that are clean, dry, structurally sound, and prepared in accordance with relevant industry standards
  • Floor-levelling compounds (cement-based or gypsum-based) applied over suitable subfloors to correct surface irregularities
  • Properly prepared metal substrates
  • Existing resilient floor coverings (e.g., linoleum and ceramic tile), provided they are securely bonded and free of waxes, finishes, or bond-inhibiting contaminants

All substrates must meet the requirements of VOB Part C, DIN 18 365 and relevant local installation standards.
Substrates must be clean, flat, dry, structurally sound, and free from dust, oil, grease, waxes, curing compounds, sealers, paint, and any other bond-inhibiting residues.
Surface irregularities, including cracks, holes, high spots, or uneven transitions, must be corrected using a cement-based, polymer-modified patching or leveling compound, applied per the manufacturer’s instructions.
For highly absorbent substrates, apply a primer such as Okatmos® UG 30, Okatmos® DSG, Okatmos® EG 20, Okamul PU‑V Rapid, or Okapox GF first (refer to each product's datasheet for detailed instructions). Priming is essential to control porosity and prevent the adhesive from being absorbed too quickly. Do not apply adhesive directly over the primer. Instead, cover the primed surface with a patching or self-leveling compound, using the thickness specified in the relevant product datasheet.
When installing over vapor‑tight coverings, build up the levelling compound to the minimum thickness specified in the compound’s datasheet to ensure reliable adhesion and moisture management. Following these steps will provide an ideal, load‑bearing surface for subsequent adhesive application and floor‑covering installation.
Moisture levels must be tested and documented prior to installation. Acceptable levels are:
≤ 10 lbs/1000 ft²/24 hrs (per ASTM F1869 – Calcium Chloride Test)
≤ 90% RH (per ASTM F2170 – In-situ RH Test)
Maintain a consistent ambient temperature of +17°C to +30°C (63°F to 85°F) and relative humidity between 30–50% before, during, and after installation.

Application Guidelines

  1. Mix thoroughly before use if product separation has occurred.
  2. Maintain ambient conditions between +17°C and +30°C (63°F to 85°F) and relative humidity between 30–50% throughout application and curing.
  3. Apply adhesive using a suitable roller or a 1/32" x 1/16" x 1/32" U-notch trowel, depending on the substrate and installation requirements.

Installation Over Absorbent Substrates

  • For a permanent bond, place the flooring into the adhesive within the flash time, while it is still wet or semi-wet.
  • For a releasable bond, allow the adhesive to dry to a clear, tacky film before installing the flooring.

Installation Over Non-Absorbent Substrates

  • Always allow the adhesive to fully dry to a tacky state before placing the flooring.
  • Once dry, press the flooring into place and roll immediately to ensure full adhesive transfer.

Drying & Working Times (at 20°C / 68°F, 65% RH)

Installation TypeFlash/Tack TimeWorking Time
Permanent (Wet-set)Up to 20 minutes (flash)Up to 40 minutes
Releasable (Tack-set)45–60 minutes (tack)8–14 hours

Note: Higher temperatures and lower humidity will reduce flash and working times. Lower temperatures and higher humidity will extend them.

Post-Installation

  • Roll flooring with a 100-lb (45 kg) three-section roller or as recommended by the flooring manufacturer.
  • Avoid foot traffic and heavy rolling loads for 24 hours to allow for proper adhesive curing.
